Methods For Cleaning Shower Curtains
Are you looking for a way to wash your plastic shower curtains? Then you have found a very helpful source. I will simply discuss some few methods that you can adopt and use at your own peril. Take some time to read the article right to the end and you will glad you did.
At times it may be too expensive to change your curtains especially during certain parts of the year when budgets are tight. However, when the liner starts to develop some mold and becomes filled with soap scum – what then?
Some people choose to soak it in the bath with some water and bleach. If you opt for this method you need to be careful especially if you own a colored one like a brown and blue shower curtain.
The simplest and effective method is to put it in the wash. No matter the make you can just throw it in there and it will come out squeaky clean. You might have to set the machine to be at non-rinse cycle and also use a normal detergent. An idea would be to put some towels in there as well so their abrasiveness can help in the cleaning process.
Other than that you can soak it in soda crystals. Compared to bleach this is way better especially in terms of eco-friendliness. This method is not only solid proof but it is also less contaminating to the environment as I have just mentioned. The process is simple, just add some soda crystals in a bath with water and then leave it overnight.
I know some people who put their urban black - red shower curtains in the wash and substitute the normal detergent with the soda crystals. For the conditioning part, simply use some vinegar. Note that I haven’t tried the vinegar myself but with so many testimonials I don’t see why it wouldn’t work for you – except for the smell.
What's it like getting a helix piercing?
I'm thinking about getting my helix (the curved cartilage on the upper part of the ear) pierced. I've heard a few people say that it's really painful, takes a long time to heal, etc. One person said they heard of someone whose upper ear fell off from it! I don't actually know anyone that has had it done though.
Please, those of you that have actually had your helix pierced, tell me what your experience was like, particularly:
-Was it more painful than a regular lobe piercing, or about the same?
-How difficult was the healing process (cleaning, maintenance, infections, etc)?
-How long did it take for your piercing to fully heal?
